Dallas lingers on the past while out on a jog

At 14, Dallas was fresh out of middle school when he met Ryan – an 18-year-old college student who took advantage of him for the next 4 years. Ryan manipulated him, posted his private photos online, and feels no remorse for his actions. Needless to say, Ryan's a massive piece of shit and we're glad he's not in Dallas' life anymore

Now Dallas is 24, and still partially blames himself, the way many people in his conservative community did. One day he'll fully accept that none of it was ever his fault – he's not there yet, but one day he will be

This comic is based heavily on Motion Sickness by Phoebe Bridgers, which touches on the same topic~

I care a lot about not just representing abu$e survivors, but representing those whose voices aren't often heard (male victims, SA victims that become hyper$3xual from the trauma, people who are flawed and don't act like "perfect victims" etc.)

I intend to explore topics like this with not only Dallas, but other ocs as well. I hope I did a good job of illustrating what I wanted to say! Thank you so much for reading
