I personally don't like the idea of having a picture of me on internet. Even if it's in private chats. I feel as if the picture could end up anywhere, I don't know if social medias will use it for another purpose without my consent. I might be a bit paranoid about that. lmao It's funny because I have probably more than 6 thousands pictures of me on my parents' computer and yet none of them are on internet. But I think that generally speaking artists draw their own profile pic because it's a way to let people know they are artists and also because it's fun.
