nightmare that kinda shook me to my coreSo i have this weird safe space that's small enough I have to draw my knees to my chest to fit. Here come one of the things that were chasing me. While she couldn't hurt me anymore in the space, she could touch me all she wanted. She pressed her cold, ugly face against me and opened and closed her mouth so her teeth would rake my skin. But she started breathing really deep and rythmic, like how I do when I meditate sometimes. I found myself breathing the same as her, uncontrollably. I went limp as I started to have a panic attack and I felt like my body was being forced to shut down as I leaned against her head, closing my eyes. I felt the little bit of safety drop as she let me fall to the ground, face first. I heard all of them trill and rumble to each other as I felt her cold breath on the back of my neck. She pressed her teeth into me, harder and harder, till I felt my skin give way, like the skin of a grape. I woke up, and it took me a second to realize I was still taking long deep breaths like in the dream.
