Revisiting childhood movies - Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams

Still can't believe that's an actual quote from the movie. Anyways, the SFX may still be garbo by today's standards, but this is a solid sequel. The ol "plot being fueled by a macguffin" makes things a bit less special than the first, but it still has the charm and childhood trauma needed to make it a good time.

-Can't believe Robert Rodriguez's idea for a theme park is making rides from hell.
-Aw snap, it's Taylor Momsen post-The Grinch and Emily Osment pre-Hannah Montana.
-Mike Judge over here really prefers nepotism over letting the president promote the person who actually deserved the position.
-"And Juni's life as a spy got ruined forever...for a few hours, that is."
-My man Floop has his show still going, good for him! And the Thumb-Thumbs are still terrifying.
-Steve Buscemi can make any one of his lines a meme, including the quote that was referenced above.
-Ricardo Montalbán was such a legend. :(
-Lord of the Rings reference...2002, amirite?
-Hold on tight, Spider Monkey!
-Sorry Mike, your world domination plans have been completely put on hold. Good on Gertie for not being as scummy as Mike for a hot minute.

-Debating as to whether I should watch the third movie or not, just to see Elijah Wood walk into the scene, say "cake", and get electrocuted on the spot.

I still can’t believe that a quote as deep and philosophical as “do you think god stays in heaven because he too fears what he created” was in a spy kids movie. Like that’s such a good quote why’s it here
