I've been doodling Koda because it's been a while since I really drew them, and I don't know how to put it well, but I'm not enjoying it at all
(yeah it's that time of the year again lol)
Idk the longer I think about it, the more I think it has to do with their head shape than anything else. It's so flat compared to my other object ocs and lacks any depth, so they end up looking awkward at most angles and it's not fun
I'm thinking about redesigning it completely. I still want them to be some kind of sound based object and play casettes, but maybe not this particular design of boombox? It doesn't really suit them, and there are so many boombox headed ocs out there who already use this shape, so maybe I can find something that looks different
I know that a lot of you like Koda's design, so I might as well just ask what do you thing about the whole idea?Feb 20, 2026

I love Koda! She looks like a lil bug with that type of cassette, it's cute! But you must feel comfortable drawing them, that's the most important part.
We do this to have fun and enjoy, if changing the design will make you feel better, go for it! Nothing will stop you of going back to the old one if it does not work, too.
