How do you guys pick birthdays for your OCs??
Do you pick randomly or is there thought behind it?

Most of my OC's don't have birthdays (RIP) but my drawing OC's have birthdays based on 
vibes and the characters of my (future) comic have birthdays based on horoscopes that I think suit them

I normally pick their birthdays as the they I created them 
In the past I used to pick them random, but I would forget about them, sooooo.

Mostly pick based on the zodiac sign that it would fit them, then choose a random date
Or see if theres anything correlared to the story

I went by astrological sign when it came to day/month but yrs I based on the story timelime & age of the characters within the story.

I mostly randomly picked- but sometimes the months feel right. Most people look forward to their birthday month so I gave my OCs birthdays on the months they’d love. For example, Sadie loves mushrooms so I gave her a November birthday when a lot are out. As with the days- sometimes the numbers just.. fit them. Like a nice even number may be a nice calm person. A 10, 16 etc feel calm to me. A more hectic person may be a weird number like 19 etc. Lmao I hope that helps

If the birthday doesn’t matter, then I just google a random number generator from 1-365 and choose the date with the corresponding number
If the zodiac sign is significant or I just want them to have a birthday on a certain holiday then I just choose a specific date within that time frame/exact date of the holiday

Sometimes I just close my eyes and press a key and if I type a letter with a month that starts with that I use use it, I also use that method for the day number. Other times it's just an instinct, like this character feels like a March 4th or a December 12th

Some people use zodiac signs but I just pick their debut date their birthday. You can also try some lore related dates, if any. Whatever makes more sense to you.
