Soooo while listening to Epic the musical, I found the change with the sirens interesting. As far as plot and growth is concerned, it makes a lot of sense.
I don't remember exactly why Odesyus wanted to hear the songs from the Sirens originally (if it was temptation with knowledge or something... maybe thoughts of his wife??? ) but the change where he also has the bees wax shows so much growth??? And also, let's his remaining army eat??? It shows the start of the change that the prophecy spoke of a lot more in my option.
Low key while I was listening, I was wondering why his crew didn't tie him up.
tho a song with overlapping Sirens singing stuff to lure Odesyus and him just screaming out, "LET ME GO" and his crew going, "no." Maybe with lines about how he's just man. Would have sounded so cool???
But I do like what the Epic team did with it. So rad...
Also I just realized some people probably haven't read Homer's Odessy. (I read some of it in my high-school English class, and watched the movie) ...I might have to read it...Jun 4, 2025
