Welcome to artfol! Here you mainly post art and interact with other people's posts.
There is no algorithm here to either bury or promote your stuff(aside for the what's hot section of the discovery tab) so if you want to get engagement you need to give some first in the form of likes, comments and reshares.
If you want to organize your gallery you can create folders to categorize your stuff. You can also use folders to save art and text posts from other people so you can always go back to them later.
If you want to make a question for the community tag it as #question so it will show up in the questions section of the community tab. In the community tab you can also see other people's text posts and polls.
If you are tired of seeing the same artists over and over in the what's hot section switch the filter to rescent or check the other categories for something more specific.
If you make fanart remember to tag the fandom so people can find it easier.
Toggle the NSFW filter in your NSFW posts so it will not show up on the feed of people who had opted out of seeing it in their feeds(in your settings you can opt in or out), there is a similar toggle for gore.
Beware of suspicious dms of users offering to "buy your art", use it for a mural or asking you to draw their kids or their pets, beware even harder if their galleries are empty, they never liked any of your posts and they offer to pay with checks instead of paypal/stripe/ko-fi or "free exposure". Those are most likely scammers.
Artfol staff is very competent on getting rid of them quickly so I reccomend you report and block them.
