Do you think it's ever ok to outright say you're a good artist? Like I always feel like I can't be fully proud of my work because I'm a humble person who doesn't want people to know that I actually like my work the majority of the time, but sometimes I don't obviously. I want to be proud and tell people I think I'm a good artist, but I don't want people to think I'm arrogant and try to tear me down and make me hate my art instead ya know? It's a dilemma I think a lot of us have to go through.Jul 5, 2021

Yes, it’s totally okay! Being proud of yourself and recognizing how far you’ve come is invaluable. Don’t let people shame you into being overly humble because they’re intimidated by confidence. Arrogance is when you’re putting others down and assuming you are the best of the best and entitled to business. Confidence is being able to say “yeah, I’m actually really good” and treat yourself all the better for it.
You’re never ever wrong for lifting yourself up as long as you’re not toppling others to do it is how I’ve always seen it. :)

Saying you are a good artist to other people isn't arrogant. But in a way its confidence you have in your ability. People are still going to be rude but those are usually people that can't draw anything and their comments only come from jealousy.

•i think it's alright. like I've put a lot of work into getting to where i am, so i like to think that I'm at least a good artist in some areas lol.

I understand you! I think you could try to know yourself and also kjow your art. It would be helpful if you know what you want and what you like to do! Maybe it helps. Does it make sense to you?
