On a scale of "master chef" to "burns down the kitchen while trying to make toast":
How good (or bad) are your cooking skills?

My cooking skills are kinda average, I think? Maybe even slightly above average but idk... At least I'm better at cooking than my mom and grandma, but that's because I actually enjoy cooking unlike them, so I put more effort into it.Jan 21, 2022

Olive oil makes me panick because every time I at a little bit into the pan to band something it just starts frying.

I can make very simple food but everything above that Iβm out
I do want to try and improve on that skill though

Slightly above average but whatever I make tastes really good, it just looks awful
β’
β’Around average - I'm good at what I do but I rarely cook due to not having a kitchen at the moment
β’
I think I'm somewhere below average because the only thing I can cook perfectly is instant food and anything I can fry or bre without spices that are too complicated
β’
Definitely above average, i learned cooking from my dad + took 1 and a half years of classes
β’
Above average from what I know about ppl my age XD I grew up with really bad food until I met my nana and now I'm pretty good! Definitely not like her tho!

Well alright cooking skills I think?
I mean with a recipe I should be able to manage most stuff.
If Iβm cooking stuff I know by memory itβs ok.
Current problem areas are to actually fry stuff in a pan instead of gently heating them since Iβm scared of burning stuff or myself. So it usually takes a lil to fry ^-^"
And sauces from scratch without any instructions somehow mostly end up as the same weird tasting something β¦ o-o

β’Very good I think. Everyone ik seems to want to eat the things I make and they are always so envious of the food I am able to cook. I'm also the token chef in most of the friend grps I've been in.
Self taught bc I wasn't allowed in the kitchen as a child and since I strictly manage my own diet, I cannot eat premade things frm the store.

Hmm I can probably cook- I just donβt know how or what to cook w/o a person to do most of it

β’I actually really like cooking. Iβve been cooking since I was 7 cause my parents kept pushing βhow will you have a husband and kids if you canβt cook???β Though I actually enjoy cooking food for just me now (sometimes I let my husband have some lol)
The hardest dishes
Iβve made homemade are calamari, gyoza, gumbo, pork belly, and fried chicken steak

I've cooked home food for 5-10 people as a part of my job for 7,5 years of my life.
I've had to learn how to make vegetarian food because I'm a vegetarian. Some of the people I cooked for had some dietary restrictions.
I'm comfortable following recipes and shopping for food. When I cook for myself I freestyle a bit.
It's not restaurant quality food or very exotic at all. Basic every day dishes. I have some favorites. When people go for seconds I take that as a thank you. I feel my skill is a little more than average, I think, just because of the quantity and variety.

β’Ehh... I'd say somewhere between above average and below masterchef, I cook pretty well

β’
β’Burns down the kitchen (and possibly the entire neighbourhood in the process) while making toast... Genuinely burned my hand trying to make scrambled eggs
