Hi, I have couple of questions about Artfol
so i guess the waving hand emoji next to my username means i'm a new account, right? if so, when will it be gone? it's been about a month for me and that's enough for other accounts that i've made on other platforms
also can you sort the collections in your gallery by any order you like?
and lastly, when do you think Artfol will allow gifs and mp4s on this site? sending a whole link each time i want to share something animated is kinda annoying

it's actually pretty scary realizing Artfol could be labeled as Indie. because at any day it can close down and all of our work and progress will be lost. you think it won't go down easy but it's not totally secure like instagram or twitter. if something like that happens i just hope it stays low like deviant/tumblr instead of completely shutting down. let's not forget our dear dead programs like Sketch... sniff...

The two devs said that gifs and videos aren't on the table at the moment because videos and gifs take up a lot more bandwidth. More bandwidth = more monetary expense for them. They can't afford the higher expense at the moment.

•The account @glitchypsy (I hope I spelled it correctly) was once able to post gifs by using a bug. Bowadays only the „fragile“ post still works

•For the GIFs/videos, consider that Artfol is an indie app that gets supported through a Kickstarter, that's why it might take a lot of time for things to get founded and then implemented in the app

Yup the lil wavy hand is a sign for new folks, not sure when it usually goes away though.
Collections can be sorted, I think it was with the edit button on your profile. There should be a collections category where you can drag and drop them in the order you want with the =.
GIFs and such are on the developer’s list as far as I’m aware. As for when they are going to be implemented depends on when they get to it and how. So currently it’s a somewhen.
