🌸 Question time 🌸

I always see this by others and I thought I'd do it once in a while. I have some questions that I have in my head and I thought, yes, why not?

🔹️So the first question:
Do you actually read picture descriptions? Or do you only read short or long descriptions?

🔹️My answer:
I read descriptions, some write big stories about them, but I don't read those very often. Also what I skip are for example all the links under video descriptions about their equipment.
Otherwise I read the descriptions, because there is often a lot of information about the picture, the techniques, the material and the characters, and I want all the information I can get. That's why I always find it a pity when people don't write much about the picture and just put in their links :(

I read all descriptions for art posts, most artists put time and effort in their captions and they also tell u about the art itself :)
Most of the time I read stuff
Most of the time, especially if I really like the work, I read the description. It happens though that I'm not too much in the mood and then I just drop a like but that's all.
I think descriptions are important to get to know the person behind the Art 🙂
Really depends if the image looks like theres a story behind it, I'll read the description, however if its just a character design then I just look at the design and move on.
It depends a lot of the account and the post itself but I do most of the time, especially when it's an art account with characters I like and the artist gives some facts about them or describe what's happening.
Depends on what the post is!
1) Video = only if I’m looking for the lyrics/name of the song/shows used in the amv/fanart source for nightcore/etc.
2) Art = depends on the length but most likely yes, especially if the account is my mutual or when the art piece is extra interesting and I want to learn more about it.
3) “announcements” = most usually not, unless from a mutual/friend

That being said, if I knew there would be a story in the description, I would read it for sure! I’d love to see that on this app tbh
On platforms where you look at an image for maybe 5 seconds or less before swiping, I think short descriptions are important if they’re needed. If there’s a piece I like, personally, I’ll read the descriptions
