QOTD:
Have you ever done volunteer work, if so, what did you do?
I haven't tried it but maybe I will in the future.Aug 25, 2021

I've always wanted to but never got the chance I HATE YA COVID
But I'm working on a charity zine project which is considered volunteering to help the needy especially in countries in the Middle East. Their war is not over and I'm helping because of God's will
I don't mind dying at Palestine
:')

I volunteered a lot for school events such as opening day and international market day. I currently volunteer at an emergency housing organisation where I sort through donated clothing for current temporary housing residents and former residents.
I occasionally helped out with the food bank and used to help sort out household good(was dubbed the cutlery girl)
It's been an amazing experience so far and I do enjoy working with the older ladies and particularly their baked goods for morning tea.

I've helped out teaching Sunday school at my local church and also voulenteered at the annual yardage they have. I also used to help my old French teacher teach kids French.

Mhm, I did a thing for Christmas for a nursing home, waited on tables for a semi-formal event, and various other things I didn’t necessarily want to do for an organization I was forced into to “be a good example for the other kids…” I don’t dislike volunteer work, I would absolutely work at an animal shelter or plant some plants, I just don’t like the peopleing part
•
Yep! I worked at a animal rescue for about a year with horses, then I found out the owner was trying to sell a very crippled and dangerous horse to a rider training to barrel race for over $40k… so I quit working there sadly.
I also went with my old Christian theology classmates and worked at a homeless shelter cooking and serving food and that was a very humbling experience I would partake in again.

I like working at county parks or local farms. Lots of weeding and planting and getting dirty, but I like the kind of work where you can see a visible difference you made and where you don’t have to think about it too much. Repetitive actions are very nice. Sometimes they also give you produce to take home!

I’ve volunteered a lot over the years, most of it I did through my church.
I’ve volunteered at nursing homes, I’ve fed meals to the homeless, and at a special needs children’s camp one summer.
I’ve also done something during the Christmas season where parents or other guardians who are struggling financially are able to get gifts (with free points instead of money) for their kids so they don’t go without Christmas. It’s our job to wrap the presents or simply bag it for them.

Yup :D I was in charge of booths for one of my old school festivals, helped teach homeschooled kiddos anatomy with my chem teach, tutored kiddos in math, and other stuff (but I don’t remember :’))
•
I did in the middle of school usually after lunch I would miss half of class to go over to this other school for students with special needs and just hang out with them during their lunch time and then clean up the cafeteria after they left to go back to class.
