Ice Cavern home of the Kettle Fish
Environment Concept, Kettle Fishes have in internal circulatory style system full of liquid that super heats its quills for an attack or defense. The same heating system keeps it warm enough to be able to thrive in the harsh tundra.It heats its body to melt the core of an ice pillar, then uses that hollowed out core as a safe place to sleep.
In this unique environment, red crystals naturally form in the cavern walls. Kettle Fishes use this to their advantage, melting holes in the ice to alow their long spines to stretch out and rest, appearing to be crystals and allowing the Fish to hollow out smaller pillars and not feel cramped.Jun 25, 2022
