What are your art gimmicks?

Threads is no more in Europe and with Instagram literally yeeting tags, tumblr not working for me and twitter DEFINITELY NOT BEING AN OPTION, I was going to struggle with advertising my commissions.
So, I've decided to open this artfol. This place seems safe enough, so I can't wait to meet you all!!

I don't know how interactions work here for now. So just for the sake of meeting new peeps and getting used to the app, I'm gonna ask about your art gimmicks! What makes your art stand out, or what you always use to make it!

I'll go first:

- Triangle shaped noses. You can do so much with shaping a triangle!
- No lineart...?? Most of my reference sheets use a clean sketch due to my lineart not being suitable for them.
- When I do lineart, I like to make it kinda thicker and SHARP! Otherwise, it's not fun and even annoying for me to line :( unfortunately not suitable for ref sheets again since it makes some designs confusing.
- I love using blending modes when I draw digitally such as Add, Multiply and Screen. But especially Add.

So what are your art gimmicks?

Artfol isn't great for commissions just to let you know upfront. This platform will probably benefit you the most by networking with other artists and then them recommending you to commissioners when they hear someone looking for something.

Interactions are best on the community tab and there's no algorithm here so posting art at regular intervals is ideal so more people see your art. You usually need to stay active on Artfol for 4+ months of regular active posting minimum to see some sort of traction.

Gimmicks sounds more like you're trying to fake something. My art trait is focused more on whimsical cozy colors for full pieces.
I always use the skeleton method when sketching. I also always colour in the sketch to see how well the colours work before doing lineart.
-Black linework varying from thin to slightly thick
-Big-ish eyes
-Soft shading
