People making sweet comments about Myel and Klaus and their designs makes me so happy omg tysm!!! ;; someone asked about them on tumblr so i quickly wrote about their story and stuff idk if anyone is interested but here we go:
Klaus is a delivery man and one night he is attacked by people with guns and is saved by Myel who lands on him with a bicycle (it's a bicycle that uses magic to float), they run away together and during their chase, Myel claims that he absolutely has to pass by Littoral, the district where most of the magicians live, and intends to fly over the river. Klaus doesn't believe for a moment that it's possible to fly with such a bike but Myel proves to him that he can indeed jump very high but has no control over what he does. Still being chased, Klaus puts his hands on Myel's and feels an amount of magic he didn't even think possible, he tries to take control of it and they jump, successfully, to the side of Littoral
Once on this side, Myel says he wants to enroll in the Academy to learn how to control his magic, while Klaus just wanted to find a way to cross the border again without getting arrested, he gets a little more involved in Myel's crimes and is forced to see that Myel is a danger to himself and others, he then makes the decision to enroll with him, they will then have to hide their illegal presence and the fact that neither of them knows how to use magic without the other
For their personalities, Myel always looks sleepy and seems to have lived very isolated for all her life, he's cheerful and sweet tho
Klaus is a pretty serious and studious guy, he can even be grumpy and impatient, he's mostly very lost and anxious about that whole situation and it's not helped by Myel that doesn't seem to understand how much danger they are in
