she's just the coolest
Okay so, as I said, here's the beginning of her story! There's blood in it but it's not detailed don't worry! Hope you like my cowgirl witch lol!!The nauseating smell of iron wafted out from inside the dusty cabin as Wells slowly pushed the door open with the barrel of her shotgun. Mixing with the iron was the familiar musky smell of fear and death.
She slowly pushed the door fully in, her purple cigarette smoke snaking into the darkness.
"If anybody's alive in here," she called sternly. "best to make y'all's self known. Ya won't get no warnin shot."
The sharp sound of a shotgun reloading emphasized her threat. But she could feel it wasn't heeded by something. Something remained silent as she made her way to the center of the room.
She kicked a previously unseen lantern over on the floor and it clattered around. A noise transitioned from one corner to another of the cabin. Closest to the open door.
She kept her eyes trained on that spot as she slowly stooped to pick up the lantern.
With one finger on the shotgun trigger, pointed at the corner, she took a long draw from her cigarette as golden sparks sizzled and popped from the cherry. With a quick exhale, a purple flame shot between her lips, flickering like a snake tongue and set the wick alight.
But as fast as the room lit up it still wasn't enough to catch a glimpse of the thing. It was out the door and gone before Wells could blink. But right then, she realized she had other things to worry about.
The cabin glistened with blood. On the floor, on the walls, on the ceiling and four bloody lumps laid strewn across the cabin in puddles of their own insides like unwanted leftovers. Which was unfortunately what they were.
Wells checked each of the bodies but they were all the same. Dead. They'd been ripped and torn apart beyond recognition, strown about the cabin.
A whole homestead massacred. Again.
Well, hopefully you liked/even read it! Hopefully I'm near as good at writing as I am drawing!Jul 5, 2022
