San Neizhe-Hon was the adopted child of a proud, influential household - the House San, one of five houses in Honazhou, “Where Honor Sows.” He was raised in competition against other adopted children of the household, who resented that he was carefree and kind, despite the suffering they all went through. San Neizhe-Hon was determined to be the most “honorable subject” and as a result, he was sent up to Korei, “Where Light Yearns.”

In Korei, San Neizhe-Hon was not received well. Those below Korei were not considered civilized by those in Korei. He went on the run from the officials of Korei, but he was eventually captured and experimented on. He was a part of many experiments and discoveries: Project K, the Map of Slei, the Ever Equation, the Korei Nuclei, the Neir Tower, etc. The greatest invention was the Korei Nuclei, which could reduce anything to its most simple form of being - ”nothingness.” After San Neizhe-Hon was caught caring for his hair, he was thrown into the Korei Nuclei and erased from the world.

However, his soul (existentia) remained. Voyager Jin found his soul and made a deal with him - She would give him existence again through a physical form and superior knowledge of his world. In exchange, he would go by Aiznyavra and find “Where Kindness Slumbers.” Whether or not he kept his past as San Neizhe-Hon was up to him. San Neizhe-Hon accepted the deal and was reformed as Aiznyavra, or “Aizn,” in the lowest step Tianhei, “Where Darkness Maws.”
