Low-key hate current fandom culture cus people are actually so annoying with their headcanons. "Uhm they're found family!" "They're siblings actually!" "That's a parent/child dynamic"
Oh yeah? Well I think they were balls deep in each other's ass at one point. You don't hear me telling everyone that they should think the same though....Aug 25, 2025

•EXACTLY, you and I know damn well they fight to see who’s bottoming!!! (Sasuke and Naruto)

•Me with the Sonic fandom.
Especially with ships even when it’s not asked for.
Like no, I just want Blaze as Blaze, not Blaze and Silver (no hate to Silver). It feels you aren’t even allowed to have an opinion because they will belittle you for it. What happened to respecting everyone’s opinions? (;3;) it’s not harming anyone

Tbh online fandom has always been like that. It's one of the things that has really driven me away from fandom over time. I get that sometimes a story or character can mean a lot to someone, but it really doesn't matter that much in the long run and isn't worth fighting about. As in, your life will go on if you disagree about a cartoon with someone, lol. I got tired of it long ago.

•haha, I have to agree. I recently got amazed how mysoginistic the fandom of the Amazing Digital Circus is despite being young people rom early XXI century. Male character who is an arrogant bully gets love, empathy and popularity, as for a kind female character who gest mad once during the show after being tired, gets hate and is reated as a fake person who has no justification for trying to be nice, because nice people, specially women "never get mad" And people take these things so, so seriously and that's becuse its filled with children without serious obligations or pretty lonely adults with too much free time and no therapy.
Don't get me started on the Steven Universe fandom, I remember joining one just to se cool fan art of the series, but instead there were just "wok" jerks who started fights over anything and treated you as an irredimible human being, I remember making a criti about a black Steven Universe fan art and I said something "wow! this is amazing! imagine how cool would it be to also see an asian Steven or a middle eastern steven or hispanic Steven, posibilities are endless" and then I was called a racist because, they got from that, that I didn't like black Steven. More ironic, all those people were white US nerds telling me a mixed race hispanic person in the place that the racist was me and they knew better than me, a third world person. And the show was about being respectful, loving and tolerant.
Fandoms suck now more than ever, people really should either grow up and get a life or get therapy if a show with fictional characters matters more to them than real human beings around them.
