I want an iPad to draw on but idk if it's right for me because I think all I want it for is to draw, so I'm not sure if it would be worth it for me.

If you have an iPad, what else do you personally do with it?

I have an ipad that I share with my sister, we pretty much just use it for art and school but procreate is a pretty god tier program, so i mean if its feasible i recommend it
I have an iPad Pro. I use it predominantly for art but also for school work and writing. I’ll be using it for notetaking later this year at uni :)
I love my iPad but I use iPads for 8 or 9 years xD
I make everything with it, when I’m too lazy to go on my computer. From Netflix, to play genshin. Or just check my money. Sometimes I search for cooking recipes or use the internet for all kinds of things I normally do on my computer. And the best part: split screen. Drawing and watching Netflix or YouTube are great.
Since few months I use YouTube to make sport. I have a 12,9“ iPad Pro (2020) after my old one iPad Air after 7 years slowly dies (its good for some casual user but for me, video, movies etc it doesn’t work good anymore) So the screen size is Perfect For me :D
I love to watch movies in my bed or at long train rides. It’s
I download free PDFs , art books ,and manga/comics on a bigger screen without eye strain, i play video games, i save reference and stuff to look at split screen with my art program, watch youtube, Draw, write, download and listen to music, idk what else but those are what i can remember right now.
I use my iPad for drawing and for taking notes at school
I got my iPad last year only for drawing but I ended up using it for everything. It’s great for watching movies in bed 👍🏻 I also play video games on it, read ebooks and use it during my language courses a lot. I actually use it more often for other things than drawing. I ended up not liking Procreate as much as I hoped I would and I mostly just use it for sketching and them move to photoshop for colors. But as much as I hate to admit it (Apple bad!) an iPad is a pretty useful device.
I have an iPad 8 and I use it for stuff like watching movies, and note taking as well as drawing on it near constantly. I’ve never regretted my decision, but I will say you def don’t need the pro if you want it to draw!! I’ve heard the Apple Pencil 2 is better, but I’ve been fine with the 1st gen (since 2nd gen is only compatible w the pro). Not saying the pro isn’t worth it, I think it has more storage space n stuff, but it’s been super amazing for drawing regardless and has never crashed on me!! On top of that i love the feel of drawing on the iPad and procreate is so cheap compared to a lot of other art programs 👌👌
I also got an ipad only for drawing! But i now use it for everything!! I dont regret buying it even a little
I got an iPad specifically to draw on and I have never regretted it! As far as digital drawing goes I think it’s very accurate and I like it way more than a cintiq, but that’s just a personal preference. I also ended up using my iPad for reading manga and watching anime and doing all kinds of things, I use it way more than I use my computer. Hope that helps 😊💕
I have an older version so mine can't use Apple Pencil, I also used them for playing video game, streaming and also for zoom if my laptop are used.
What do you currently draw with?
I at one point had to choose between an Ipad or an actual graphics tablet, and went with the graphics tablet for the same reason as I don’t need the Ipad for other things. (Plus other stuff. The graphics screen feels more comfortable and is bigger.)

If you don’t draw on PC or have one, maybe an Ipad could be a good step if you like traditional feeling drawing ways. If that makes sense.
Honestly I do mostly use it to draw at the moment. That being said, I've got the 11 inch one and it's kinda nice to read ebooks on sometimes. You can also play games, and apple have a pretty good selection these days. I find the size a tad big for screen controls? But they do allegedly support controllers, I've just not tried.
The screens are also great for video content, so good for watching stuff while on the go (if we can ever do THAT again)
Honestly I definitely under use mine, but the amount I use it for drawing kinda makes up for it?
If you really aren't sure whether it'll fit into your life - get one second hand? It'll be cheaper, and an older version, but it means you don't spend as much if you find out it's not for you. That's what I did for mine
You can use your iPad to draw mainly but it’s quite like a phone so you might use it for other things too. I would buy an iPad if I were in the same case as yours.
I got an iPad Pro too I read manga and play games and occasionally use YouTube aside from procreate
Alright so I was stuck on whether to get one or not a few years ago too but honestly I ended up using my iPad pro more than I thought I would xD I use mine for school and uhh "bigger" mobile games outside of drawing! It's also a great way to separate my art accounts from my personal ones!! Idk if this helps but I hope it does ^^
