Anyone know of any free, good (YouTube) drawing courses?
And when I say courses, I mean like vids where they don't only explain stuff to you, but also give you suggestions on how to practice certain things on your own? Almost like homework?
Specifically for sketching, character design, anatomy, anything to do with drawing people.

- Proko's anatomy class in English (most of it is free on YouTube, I think that there are some extra information and tutoring if you pay but I don't know because I only had the free part and it was very good)
- Draw-a-box in English. Completely free. It has a site with all the lessons and instructions: drawabox.com. But the creator also did video instructions for those who don't like reading, they are on his YouTube channel Uncomfortable. A lot of exercices to learn how to manage volumes on a 2D surface, how to understand and use perspective in a practical way, and how to draw many subjects (plants, animals, vehicles, textures) starting with simple volumes.
- Marco Bucci has many lessons on YouTube about shadows and colours in English
- scuoladelfumettodisiena on Youtubehas many lessons on how to make comics in Italian
- Yoann Bomal has lessons on YouTube has lessons about almost any topic in French. His explanations, analysis, and context information about the topics are super good. He is an animator (studied at Gobelins) but what he explains can work for any drawing situation. On his site he also has "The program" for free which is the list of things he did to become good at art.
- Marc Brunet makes weekly drawing lessons in English about any topic, and he also madeca video where he gives insteuctions of what type of exercices to do for improvement through the year.
- Angel Ganev used to make good tutorials in English, about facial feature especially if I am not mistaken
- I remember watching Sycra in English and learning useful stuff when I was younger.
- Winged Canvas make lessons in English about many different topics and the explanations are super good, I especially like those about rendering of different substances.
- Alphonso Dunn explains in English how to use pen and ink hatching mostly, but other topics too.
- Love Life Drawing has good tutorials in English on a variety of topics, a lot of gesture and figure drawing

Not a youtube channel, but the discord server Happy Accidents has lots of art challenges that you earn points and rank up for completing, as well as online group painting sessions and critiques.

Might as well check out Marco Bucci. He had a series of YouTube videos but I can't remember what at the moment, perhaps on the fundamentals? Or was it character design. He also uploads similar tutorials to Sinix.

•Istabrak 100% she has a 14 day portrait challenge that she critiques amongst other things. The community was really active I'm not sure how it is now but you should check it out!
