Fantasy Life, a 3ds game from 2013. At this point, I think a lot of it's nostalgia, but I loved the game and played wayyy too much of it. Its like the only reason I still own my 3ds.
I have gotten to Creator (highest rank; you need the dlc for it) on 6 of 12 Lives(explain later) A few are at Master or higher, but at least 3 of the remaining 6 are at the lowest one and are extremely grindy, so I haven't gotten to them yet.

The Lives in the game (and my ranks) are:
Paladin (Creator)
Mercenary (Creator)
Hunter (Creator)
Wizard (Creator)
Angler (Expert?)
Miner (Creator)
Woodcutter (Hero)
Tailor (Novice)
Blacksmith (Hero)
Carpenter (Creator)
Cook (like halfway)
Alchemist (Novice)

...okay its impressive that I remembered all of them and a majority of my ranks while sitting in French class.
I need to go now
Cookie run: Ovenbreak because you can make cookies run and stuff and 3 Papa Louie games as in all games they are the exact same but it's very fun
Minecraft, I'm a sucker for playing survival mode with my sister :) we have so much fun together
Zelda: Skyward Sword, because no matter how many times I play it, it punches me in the face with feels. No Zelda game has done Link as good as SS. He feels more like a character than an avatar and I loved caring about him personally where other Zelda games just never did that for me.
Pokemon pearl for emotional attachment
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon

It’s more like art than a game — it’s mechanics are clunky and stuff but it’s a neat little thing. I’ve played it through it 3 times.
Dishonored bc the story is just 👍 and the gameplay makes you feel super cool
NieR Automata because I like to cry
The Last of Us Part 2 cause I like to suffer lul...jk but not really, the gameplay is smooth and refined, the audio, the attention to details, and the accessibility is ahead of it's time. I love the complexity and nuance of the story and characters.

One foreshadowing the downturns the other will receive as they progressively lose themselves, the use of foils and parallels between the protagonist and deuteragonist show the complexities of loss, grief, acceptance, and redemption.

The devisive pacing route is what really got me to love this game even more. The abrupt change in the climax yoinked me out of the bias I knew before and into the character I was supposed to hate. The third act(chapter) of the game made me feel like a beaten dead horse. I literally felt like the characters on screen, utter shit, I was emotionally drained to oblivion that I couldn't play any games for 6 months.

Great game, love my son Bald-Headed Lev.
animal crossing because it lets me live the fantasy of being financially independent and have a social life 🥲
