I'm used to paying people to do so. The quality of the drawing always goes up the more details I lump on about what I want, but sometimes I get SUPER self conscious!!
Alternatively I get REALLY excited if it's a raffle prize, or a surprise friend gift! I like knowing they care enough about my characters to draw me something!
When I draw them myself, I just can't replicate the whimsy, edge, or cuteness of anyone I've commisioned so

I would feel honored because that would mean that they like my design. But it would feel weird at the same time because… I don’t know they’re mine

I love it! Getting surprise gift art (or art that I commissioned lol) always brightens my week.

I think it's fine as long as they credit that the oc is mine. I also like to be tagged too so I'd see how they draw it. I like seeing my ocs in other people's artstyle :D

it only really happens for trades, but i LOVE it! all that matters to me is that i get credited

I really like it when they just do it without asking! It’s always a nice surprise and it shows how much they admire you or your designs

As long as they credit me as the oh creator, I would love for someone to make art of my ocs

I do like to be asked but I also love being surprised when people make gift art of my OCs. And I love to make surprise gift art of their OCs~

I love it so much!!! It makes me so happy to know that they liked my character enough to actually draw it themselves. No one ever has to ask for my permission, but like you said, it’s still lovely when they ask

If someone ever do a fanart for me I would be eternally grateful for it and hoard the drawing like a dragon

I like to see people’s interpretations of my characters so most of the time there’s no need to ask. If they want clarification or references of an oc that’s not on my page then of course I’d be willing to provide but otherwise permission is granted

I prefer people ask before doing it
It also saves them the trouble of me being overly aggressive towards them bc I'm really defensive of my creations
