Rant of update:
Am trying to paint a statue( ╹▽╹ ). Had this tiny eureka moment for ~4 paintings. It lasted like 10mins and now can't recall where I put the scribbles and on what... And yet again am too lazy to look up references, even tho am holding my phone right now... Anyway, so it's supposed to look like a statue, and yes this time I adjusted proportions a bit (●__●), but it looks more like a monotone human. Don't know if I should call it lifelike. Tomorrow or after work, am gonna add some bright spots. Maybe that would help...
Another thing, am not sure, like if I should draw the sculptor as an old man or as my persona. Am gonna incorporate this statue (similar but of the same pose different angle) to another bigger painting. In it gonna go a few other paintings. So the plot/ story would be kinda interwoven. Like a backstory workshop I guess. Wow a Spoiler ತ_ತ...
Am currently experimenting with added colors to lights and shadows, but am getting lost a lot ಥ_ಥ. It turns out a bit brighter and livelier- that's good, but with my older/ original "technique" I don't get lost and don't need to wonder around so much... Am indecisive at this for now... Do I like it or not.
Tried to record the process and make a video of this painting (´∩。• ᵕ •。∩`) . But there's this tiny, perhaps unoticable Problem( ╹▽╹ ): My FREAKING head is in the way! It's like my main subject! Covering 2/3 of the screen and blocking the whole painting. It's like the main character of this soap opera. Am left with the beginning where I block the background (눈‸눈)...

Painting texture is a hassle sometimes. It would be easy if it was copper. Just drown it in verdigris. Or if it is stone moss, plants, cobwebs. 🤭
A clean statue is an undertaking. Good luck.
