There's a new single-player tabletop rpg called Carved by the Garden on Kickstarter, made by Cassi Mothwin! It's kinda Gothic horror fantasy, perfect for Halloween time! The idea is that your character is exploring a spooky forest for one reason or another, and every day you explore the forest you must make a journal entry about it for the concerned people who live with you.
I got the idea to make my journal entries more illustrated and vintage, like the diary from The third Indiana Jones movie. This is a practice page of that! Lots of crosshatching with a textured pen, ink washes, and bits of white paint
