Antis in fandoms i draw for...They don't have lives so they are constantly pestering me and others about ships they don't agree with. It's really fucking annoying 😒
I had this "friend" who would constantly ask for free art if I didn't draw art for them they would spam my messages with threats until I gave in and drew them art this was about 3 years ago thankfully I cut them off completely when I was fed up with their bs
Being asked to draw borderline porn (like just a constant stream of demands to "make her tits and ass bigger") - considering that I was also a minor when this happened that was even more uncomfortable.
A person commissioned me for a full reference sheet back when I was pretty new to the commission game. He refused to pay for it because he thought it wasn't as good as the one I made for my own character. Had another commissioner get a custom sculpture, but never paid (back before I knew to take money upfront). I never sent it at least, but I still have it in storage! Moral of the story? Make a TOS!
i remember in Amino a guy started talking shit about my art just because i got more attention than him, that happened years ago, the community i was in is now more toxic than it used to be
Not really drama but when I was younger, someone harshly said my rock drawing looked ugly right in front of me without realising it was my art. Definitely contributed to me dropping art for a while.
Commission scam. Had a friend of a friend contact me for some branded clothing designs and a logo design. They were my friend's friend and my very first client, so I (stupidly) didn't charge them anything up front. Ended up being close to two years before I was paid and was paid much less than promised. I definitely learned my lesson lol!
When I wanted to surprise my friend another dude (Y) told him "X, plumber is here." In my language the word "plumber" has two meanings. First the actual plumber, second "the person whose butt is visible when they sit." Second meaning is never funny unless it's from a family member. Apparently they were making jokes about me for a while because X immediately knew it was me.
I was nine years old. I had to wear a brace to straighten my spine. I was due for a check-up at the hospital and the doctor ordered one of her nurses to tighten my corset for an X-ray. The man squeezed me so hard that I started to feel sick, he wanted to vomit and begged for them to take off my corset, but they flatly denied it. I couldn't take it anymore and I yanked off the straps, passed out as I suddenly decompressed my organs. My parents were angry with the doctor and the assistant, but they did not care. They didn't even let me take off my corset.
( ̄ε(# ̄) mine is probably some classmates taking my sketchbook and proceeding to rip out a bunch of pages~
They mainly didn't like that I drew better than them and got praise from the art teacher aha,,,
A classmate of mine a few years back noticed how my "art skills" impressed others and how I'd get attention for that (even tho I didn't want it but oh well) and tried to kinda imitate me by tracing a sketch she found on the internet and presenting it as her own. And when I found the original and called her out (in private btw) she just said I was jealous..... Like... Jealous of what..? A badly traced sketch? Or how fake you are just for attention...? :I
Any time I've gotten a rude comment on my work in the past few years, which I can sum up as "Your style is weird and looks like stuff that a first grader draws".
