More on the late Hiroyuki Oomori:
Without him, I don't think the JoJo anime would've even been made to begin with, at least the version that we got.
When an anime production company first approached him about animating JoJo, he at first thought that adapting Araki's art style into animation would be a real challenge, especially with it being so different from your typical trendy anime character designs of the time, and wondered if the general public who were unfamiliar with JoJo would accept these designs. In the end, he decided to take on this challenge anyway, believing that despite the possible difficulties of translating the designs into animation, "the power of the work itself had not faded, and above all, I am a big JoJo fan myself..."
Upon seeing their work on The Book of Bantorra(2009-2010), he was the one who chose David Production as the studio to bring Araki's designs to life in animated form. All of this led to the anime officially getting greenlit in 2011, and the rest is history.
