Shadow Magic Info
(Go to the second paragraph for shadow magic info!) The first of 6 posts to come that is a drawing of and describes more in detail what each magic type is about in the "Of Feathers and Magic" universe. I don't have fire done yet, so that one might be awhile lol, but the rest are done! I'll be posting them in the order that I drew them in! This one describes shadow magic and is the only traditional piece in the "series".This is the leader of the shadow magic users of the group of casters named the Corvids. His name is Coleus and he is using shadow magic! Shadow magic is usually much more subtle than this (Coleus is showing off a bit). A skilled shadow magic user can cloak themselves in shadows to make themselves unseeable in places like forests, and make themselves unhearable by using the shadows to muffle their footsteps or wing beats. Due to this, general applications of shadow magic is scouting, spying, or other things where a bird would need to be undetectable. When activated, the shadow symbol glows a dark purple. Shadow magic arguably has the most unsettling side effect; it makes the caster's eyes go completely black during the spell and for a few minutes after the magic has been used last, which allows the user to see in the dark, though they are a bit more sensitive to light. This effect is not permanent however, and their eyes go back to normal after a few minutes of their last shadow spell. Shadow magic is strongest in extreme darkness and weakest in extreme light.Jul 18, 2022
