I think my art made the biggest improvement when I started more seriously using references. Like I pretty much don't just draw poses from my head anymore, I always have a picture im working from that inspired me.

Usually I mull through Pinterest and when I find a pose I like (someone reading, dancing, etc) I'll go and make the first thing that comes to mind.

Since I've been doing that, I've got better at proportions, anatomy, and now it's helping me to take on backgrounds!

Good luck โ˜บ๏ธ

ive been into art for 3 years & been doing it seriously for abt a year here ar my tips aka things i would like to scream @ my younger self:

DONT COMPARE URSELF TO OTHERS
theyve prolly spent more time on that artpiece than u have ur whole life. its not healthy & itll ruin ur enjoyment of art. draw bad art! who cares! beauty is an illusion!

LAYERSSSS
starting out can be hard, so try to use ur pencil/whatever & press lightly & put down the basics. thenn go a lil harder & asd more detail, do this until ur satisfied

SKETCH SKETCH SKETCH
your. art. will look. so much better. on the
2nd. try!!! seriously, if ur dissapointed how something looks, draw it again. do random sketches! draw awful thumbnails to get familiar w what ur drawing

DEVELOPING N ARTSTYLE IS HARD
give urself time!! also. if (for example) u think u suck at hands sit ur butt down & draw tons of hands!!! itll seriously helpp

thats my advice, have fun, try new mediums & b proud of what u make!!

Hey! I do not consider myself an expert, i don't think anyone could really, what i know is that i've been drawing my whole life. The only advice i can give you is, keep practicing! Get inspired by looking up to artists you like, don't compare your work to others' , your art style has to be a mix of things you like and the only thing that matters is that YOU have to like it. But most importantly, don't push yourself too hard, this takes a lot of time ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜Š
