Genuine question: is it a bad thing to trace YOUR OWN art? Like I know it might be lazy but still though….😭Oct 18, 2024

not at all (Tbh I do it when I’m lazy)
I literally make my own carbon paper so I can transfer cleaned up sketches onto another surface to be painted. In fact there is nothing wrong with tracing full stop, the only issue is if you trace someone else's work and then try and pass it off as your own. Tracing is a very valid tool and is used by many artists as a way to get designs onto the final surface - art projectors are basically the same deal.
Na, sometime the first sketch comes out way better and no amount of trying will recreate the look you’re going for.
It's your art, so you can do whatever you want with it.
I've done it before, I think it's a good way to train your brain and muscles to be more consistent with a particular character or thing. What do they call it? Muscle memory?
I dont think so.
