Storytime: Cyrus Bloom #6 - Prison Story

Cyrus had a friend who worked for the state. Well, he wasn't really a friend, more like an acquaintance of him. One day they met again and this man told Cyrus something that inspired him for a new song. But little did he know that this information...was an national secret. He wrote a songtext and released it as a single. The police and FBI found out about this song and arrested Cyrus. Since it was a national secret they covered the whole thing up, deleted the song as if it never existed. Cyrus was sentenced to 3 years in prison, his prisoner number: C38. But when he told the court where he got the information from, and that he didn't know it was a real national secret, his sentence was reduced to 1 and a half year. The guy who told him the secret was arrested immediately.
When Cyrus was released, he got his prisoner number tattooed on his shoulder, so that he will never forget this time. And, of course, he has broken off contact with the man who put him in this situation.
Btw Cyrus looks pissed on his mugshot not because he was arrested but because this police man was an asshole.

I was really anxious to finally reveal why Cyrus was in prison. But i talked to a friend about it, who knows a lot about laws and prison sentences, and she said it's realistic...
(Though the laws are probably different in the USA than in germany, i want to keep it like this.)
