try adding some shadows around the base and edges of the boot... also try picking where the lighting is coming from (top right/ top left/ etc.) say the lighting was coming from the top left, the shadows on the boot would be on the right side and the bottom right would have further harsher shadows

•I love this! The concept is super cute and I love that cat. One thing I would consider is at what angle we are viewing the boot. Because we can see inside of the boot, I am going to assume we are looking above it. In that case we would also be seeing the top plane of the boot where the roses are sitting. If you have a similar boot, try taking pictures of it from different angles to see what I mean. Buuuut as this is stylised art, you can use a lot of artistic license, like how some drawings of mugs have an ellipse for the top and a flat bottom. You decide what is best for your illustration and how realistic you want it!

•Eeee I love it! The main “negative” that I have, is that the highlights on the rose match the rubber boot, which makes the roses look rubber haha. The highlights of the roses probably wouldn’t get to a point where they’re strong spots of white, morso just a lighter area. The cat tho? A1 most handsome haha
