Honestly I think it’s fine as there are some people who don’t know how to communicate character design for what they want and at least with adopts they are able to get that. They should be allowed to add a few things or remove things if that’s not what they want on the character, and if they want that maybe the artist can add 5-10$ per edit instead of just saying no

Can be fun (and sometimes useful) but I hate having to agree to never redesign the character or write a dark story about 'em. Or just generally do anything the creator wouldn't do. Like I bought the thing I should be able to do basically whatever with it other than claim the original art/design.
