People who post art from like 2016 because they still like it... How? How do you do that? I can't even look at my art from two years ago without cringing 😞May 9, 2021

It’s all about perception. I can appreciate if I liked something and it was good for me at the time but also appreciate the improvements I’ve made since then.
Sometimes i hate my art a week after i post it but then when i see it a couple years later it grows on me i guess? Like i can appreciate it for its own merits and not just go "ewww i drew necks usgly a month ago"
for real 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️
1 week ago * sometimes i don't like my art from 1 week 🤣🤣
Two months ago*
X"D idk I think think Still look decent and in style of me which makes me also think I haven't improved much at all
I can't look at my art from 3 months ago without cringing 😭
It is weird to think about, considering this was like 5 years ago... think of the amount of progress you can make just with a couple of months!
:D well idk- but I like looking at my old art it reminds me how far I have already developed 💪🏻✨
It goes like this:
When I start drawing, I like it. The more time I spend on it, the more I hate it. When I finish, I absolutely despise it but post it anyway because I just don’t care anymore. Several days later I decide I actually like it again and I had fun drawing it. Then, after some days/weeks/months I realise I did bad and the art is shit. And finally, after several years, when I accidentally stumble upon my own old art ‘cause somebody faved it somewhere, I come to the conclusion that it wasn’t as bad as I thought and I actually like it a lot!
A roller coaster of emotions 🙃
Yikes I don’t like the work I make a week ago the power those ppl have

Honestly tho it’s a good sign u grow to the ur work probs means u improved
