Apollo Doodle 2
I made another doodle of my boy cuz I love him so much <3Anyways, his wings aren't pictured here (mostly because I'm lazy) but also this is a good opportunity to explain his little cloak he has.
So context, the wings and blood of Apollo's species is (falsely) believed to be a magic cure all for any disease. Naturally, they have to worry about the very real possibility of attempted murder. Most people don't like getting attacked though, believe it or not, so his species came up with ways to hide their wings.
One of these is enchanted cloaks or capes, which create a pocket dimension of sorts that hides their wings, making them look like any other elf.
Apollo stole his from someone attempting to kill him and enchanted it himself. It also serves to keep him warm in the freezing mountain range he has chosen to lurk in.
Though, mostly because people know better than to enter his territory and he doesn't travel enough to need his wings hidden, he tends to wear it off to the side and keep his wings out.
I just wanted to draw him looking fancy lol plus tweek a few things in his design, I really like how this doodle came out I'm very proud of it :)Jun 4, 2024

oh the cape is such a smart idea in a meta sense too - wings are a nightmare to draw so having a genuine in world reason to hide them is so clever :0 Also Apollo please wear a shirt you're going to get hypothermia
