I feel like bearing teeth, like sneering, would be an insult. If a carnivore or omnivore showed their teeth, it would be seen as threatening. If an herbivore showed their teeth, it wouldnt be as threatening but just as offensive since it is usually meant as threatening.Aug 5, 2022

And yet, smiling is a friendly gesture for humans. I've thought about this before, imagine you somehow end up on another planet and aliens find you but you want to show that you're friendly so you smile but they thing you're threatening them
