My answer:
For me, "ahead of it's time" means something that no one tried to do so. And then when someone do something like that, others end up trying and more and more people starts to do the same.Oct 9, 2021

I once was at a furniture store describing to an employee that was assisting me a type of furniture with what I considered a reasonable function built into it and they told me I'm „a little ahead“ lol.

Something that would have made more success or got a better reach if it had been created/released years later when the public's mindset was more likely to accept and celebrate it.

I have always interpreted it as something is a good idea or concept, but bc of the time it was conceived in, it was either frowned upon or dismissed, but now it's seen as a good idea and concept.

"Ahead of its time" to me means: something that could feasibly be a good idea, but in the present scenario is either underestimated/overlooked, or just dumb as rocks.
I use the phrase sarcastically and sympathically when one of my friends suggests something really stupid, saying "it's okay, you're just ahead of your time."
