Candor and Cara (The Evans Twins)
Another oldie!! As well as being from 2018 -- the beginning of my gradient shading only era -- this one features more characters from my current book. These two have a close bond with Felix, though the plot has complicated it to high hell.
The color coding is kinda obvious but honeslty,, Cara is mostly a love letter to everything about "femininity" that I used to hate. I was made so self conscious about the things I liked that I never allowed myself to open up and just accept "girly things" at face value, without the weird societal standards attached.
Cara is very overtly "feminine", she giggles and she has long hair and she's covered in pink. It doesn't affect that she's also a good fighter or that she has an amazing memory or that she can kill a man with her heels. Those things are good too, but her "feminine" traits don't make her any lesser -- they make her feel good, so THEY'RE good. She doesn't need to ALSO be anything, its enough to be who we are.
Sorry for the rant?? Many piled up issues regarding the color pink lie within me, but I'm learning to love it nonetheless.
Also, Candor’s cool, I guess? He's a bit of a mom friend. He has wings, sometimes. I hate drawing them tho lolNov 21, 2020
