Here's a question I have out of curiosity: if you are to choose between heroes and villain figures, which one is more appealing to you personally? And why?
Kinda like choosing Disney princesses vs villainesses in story - there's got to be many reasons why different people choose one or the otherJul 7, 2021

Usually heroes, people always simp for villains but I can’t bring myself to like a character when they want to skin puppies

As characters when I’m reading I like the people who are kinda in between. Especially when they KNOW that they aren’t wholly good or bad. They have flaws and can be selfish(like villains) and I love characters like that. Because they’re more real.

Good question! I used to appeal to villain figures because I thought they were so cool as far as design and backstory. But I find myself liking and relating to heroes more these days ^ ^

•Most of the time, it’s going to be a villain. They’re usually more flawed than the main protagonist, and therefore, are usually more relatable. However, if the villain is a little too flawed (just evil for the sake of being evil), then I’ll usually go for the protagonist if I find them relatable.

•I liked villains more as a teen, but as I get older I find myself liking the heroes more. The world is already full of bad people with tragic stories, but it takes a special kind of person to step up and do the right thing. Someone with a golden heart who can help others despite their own problems is an extraordinary person. Villains are just giving in to their bad feelings.

•Villans, they seem more realistic sometimes, they look cooler and I really hate the heroes. That being said, if it's a good hero, I may choose them, but it's usually villans unless I truly hate them
•
•Heroes, for sure. Villains traditionally have more interesting visual designs, but heroes are more worth looking up to. There's a limit to how much I can sympathize with a villain, because giving into evil is actually weakness. Overcoming the urge to do evil and choose good is most compelling to me.
I try to design my heroes to have darker elements, which I think makes their morality pop out more. It's unexpected to see a monster be selfless and valiant, I think.

•Villains definitely for me, villains tend to have a more unnatural body proportions and size which makes for some really cool figure drawing.
