Mine is simple, I often colour my lines dark red. Colouring your lines is an easy way to make your piece look better as black lines can be super harsh. Dark red tends to go well with a lot of colours so it's an easy pick!

Draw as much as you can, everyday if it’s possible, in your sketchbook from all kind of references, if you can draw from real life even better. Make quick drawing 1-15 minutes. Experiment a lot in those drawings and don’t care about the result, just have fun

•If you have tablet pen that comes with shortcut buttons, set them to right click and Alt for color picking. You can then blend and color pick easier :)

•I know it's a hard thing to do but try not to compare your work to other people's. Rather compare your current art to your old art and you'd see how much you improved and remember art isn't a race so just enjoy the ride and go at your own pace.

•It’ll look ugly while your making it but the result will be awesome, don’t be discouraged by the first thing while painting/modeling it will be edited

•When doing digital painting or character design, ALWAYS check your values and make sure the art looks good in greyscale too. If something seems off, especially about colors, fixing the values will solve it.

•Do thumbnail sketches, I didn't listen to this when I was younger and boy do I wish I had

•My favorite little tip is to “draw through” the form. Meaning to not stop the line when it meets another, and instead following through to flesh out the form. It keeps drawings from being flat. Of course you have to erase afterwards though lol.

•Brush control! - be patient and slow, also mix more color than you think you might need (I struggle with that haha).

I suppose my best tip would be to just go with the flow!! Don’t stress if your art doesn’t look like you want it to - it’s only natural that we make mistakes and dislike our art sometimes. Progress and change comes naturally as you progress during your art journey and put in the effort to make those changes! It takes time, so don’t be hard on yourself and just let yourself create the art you wanna create :))

Be kind to yourself, set realistic goals and expectations, and draw what you love!

•Always use a colour to shade (e.g. no greys) - it really helps bring a lot of character and make it pop!
