What was something that sounded like a good idea as a kid, but turned out it was a bad idea?

Me:
finds large stick
use it as a walking stick
me and the other kids start running for some reason
thought that I could use this stick to be faster, so I used it as a running stick???
falls and rethink my lifechoices

Eating a worm… I saw Tracy beaker do it on tv so I bet I could do it to some of my friends. I did do it, but then I got the other kind of worms.. (I was like 6)
cutting across the grassy hill in roller skates, ended up impaling my hand on broken shard of a tree stump.
Bringing a grumpy old horse hay in the middle of a snow storm only to get bit on the elbow and chased away. I was scared of horses for a while lol. Valuable life lesson was don't bring the giant grumpy animals food when you're only as tall as their leg😅 Specific lesson but valuable all the same.
Crawl on all fours across the hardwood floor my dad had just ripped the carpet off of.
He apparently missed a staple bc I now have a decent scar on my knee, fortunately I didn’t have to get stitches but it still hurt like hell
Back then, me and the other children from my childhood neighborhood thought that sliding down the wide, rough slope on the very end of another street was a fun idea. It took us some getting injured and others getting threatened to be brought to the police cuz that was actually a private property to realize that it was otherwise. 🗿
I thought that playing tag with my friends for the first time in forever in P.E. was ok even if I didnt like running....

That day I fell and my shoe literally came off. I just laughed it off at first but then I started bleeding a lil out of my knees and my wrist hurt really bad...

I didnt go to school because it was my right hand aka my dominant hand and I couldn't write so I just stayed home with an orange cast on my hand.
I didnt break it or anything but O W W W
