Was anyone else freaked out by the Promised Neverland anime? (Sort of spoiler warning)
Don’t get me wrong, it was a very well done anime! The issue is that I watched the show, and I did not anticipate it to be a horror anime.
Looking at the Netflix cover and description I just thought it would be a sort of spooky- mystery anime, nothing too intense, just an average mystery show. So I was pretty surprised by how intense the show was.
I am not someone who can watch horror movies , I’m not too freaked out by gore, but the entire premise of the show really freaked me out. It was pretty psychologically horrifying.

I was very caught off guard by it too lol. But I think it was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. It was quite thrilling

•I didn’t watch the anime but I read the manga!! I have to say I agree with you, I wasn’t expecting such horror as well but I definitely think this cute yet weird first atmosphere was intentional to shock the viewers! It’s probably the first time I genuinely got scared while reading a manga haha
