ive just learnt something from my son. I am currently trying to learn more cartoon style and he says where I am going wrong and something you did that I didnt do is you need a full outline, and quite dark. i dont have this. But for my normal art style which is more realistic you avoid thick lining. He says that is why he cant do more ralistic as he is so used to doing a thick outline round everything. So additionall critique of mine and I could have got the shading better if I knew this before is do a black outline round everything. then you dont need as much shading. I may try this again tomorrow trying the thick outline method and see how that goes. As they say everyday is a school day and Ive learnt a very big lesson
for dark goddess I am also going to critique this. I too could have gone darker on the baloon leggs. I was a bit off on the the bears nose and mout region it also needed to be lighter at the top where the nose id to make it pop. The bears back could have been lighter but it didnt look like it had an end to the back hence I had to sdd some more shading so you could see where the back stops. the left side of the bow could have done with a tiny bit of shading. Notice the shadow the bears legs are making just to give it that more 3d effect. I would have added another foot on the right legs of the balloon if I was doing it again. Hope me critiquing my version also helps for you
