can someone tell me how does commission actually works? like, do i have to print my drawing and post them or just give to them in JPEG file? can i sell traditional arts? what is the safest payment? Do you use WhatsApp Business? Fiverr? Artfol? or any other platform?Dec 28, 2020

If it's digital, selling them a print is optional, could just be a digital file. Yes, of course you can sell trad comms?? You'd have to mail them the original piece though. I use paypal to receive payments. I advertise my commissions on instagram and in person kinda.
Basic formula for pricing art: time spent + skill + materials + website fees/payment method fees + shipping = price. based on time, you should charge around minimum wage. You can do less than minimum wage if you're selling art as a hobby, or more if you want to do it as a job, and even more if you're very skilled and experienced. You can start out with a low price and increase it in the future, just make sure the overall price you charge is enough to actually make a profit. Charging $50 doesn't mean your profit is $50 if you had to pay fees, shipping, and materials.
Always receive either all or part of the payment BEFORE making and sending the art, to avoid people scamming you or just because some people may change their mind. When advertising, make sure all the information about your comms are really clear. State your prices, what you will and won't make, what you use to receive payments, etc.
