anyway. back to john because <3 yeaelise basically forced him to join her cult by saving him from death and granting him immortality once. he did not want any of it. he ended up faking his death to escape the war and had to go in hiding with the "help" of elise. he kinda had some messed up crush on her too (was a bad time).
