JEAN MY BELOVED

I want to add and take some things from Jean that just fit his powers a bit more so get ready for a lil windy bit:

OK SO:
I decided to make Jean mute outside of power activation for the most part because his power requires his voice. He knows very little sign BUT is in the process of learning so that way he can communicate with the other students and team members! I also wanted to add the fact that his voice is more or less a “on-off” switch rather than like a direct command on what the shadows do. So technically the shadows are being controlled by his mind BUT he must be speaking/singing in order to activate the trigger and keep the shadows moving (just like the electrical current from the switch!!!). One thing Jean does to trip people up is saying a command phrase and having the shadow do something opposite because 1.) he finds it funny 2.) he’s a dick

The time aspect:
Once Jean starts his song/states a phrase he must continue or it counts as a “song” and he must wait for the power to “cool” off or else he gets a sore throat. This is purely just a backlash from using his power. Like legit man can accidentally start shouting stuff without thinking and the shadows would ultimately run rampant until he stops. After that he would have to sit in time out until his power comes back. I did want to change the cool down to something along the lines of like (however long the song or statement was) x (3) = cool down time.
Idk why it just felt better to me LMAO.

Guess who got busy again and ended up forgetting to come back here even after commenting not to forget

ANYWAY!! Jean here looks so ready to punch someone or something like- in a "wanna bet I can knock you out in 3 seconds?" kinda way and I'm LIVING for it!!

About the changes: 1 - with the whole voice command thing it makes a lotta sense for Jean to not use his voice much outside of power-use so I really like that!! We already have a few students who use sign language bc of their powers so Jean'll fit right in

Also him pranking people with his power??!!

I just imagined the shadows attacking a bad guy and he's like "tell them to stop!!" and Jean just "but they just don't listen to me

I'm sorry, dude". 2 - I also really like that you added more detail to the power drawback

I luv you for that honestly!! It works just as well and makes much more sense

I know drawbacks can be a pain so thank you for thinking about that in a light that helps balance Jean's power even more

So when you Say he Can something really short like yes or no, do he speak with sign language like for people who can't speak ?

That would be cool actually, even if i don't know much about the sign language xD

Oh and the tag of the Univers (yes there is a tag) it's #cipheracademy for when you want to post art of your Cipher student but not as a challenge
