Crocus
I’m going to leave you with what is probably personally my favorite artwork I’ve ever done and what I believe to be one of the highlights of my technical skill. Despite the fact I’ve been told it should have been a fully body and is a bit underwhelming. My intent with this piece was to redesign my original Character Crocus and make him look more his like his ethnicity with is Japanese. As he was born in Japan and immigrated to america when he was five. In this photo he’s meant to be in his 40s. Another thing I wanted to show off was personality, with the colorful hair I gave Crocus and a somewhat personalized outfit. I don’t know how well this came across but the background is meant to be a graphite wall as I imagine the character living in an American city and I just put random Japanese and American symbols on the graphite to show that well this character is Japanese he’s also American.
