I’m fortunate enough to be able to say that a majority of the things happening to and going on around me are of the happy kind, separating happy from happier is a bit tricky for that reason, but if I’m going to point to something specific I remember more vividly I’ve been really happy about actually managing to get past the first chapter of my writing project. I am often a bit more self-critical toward myself than necessary and have a tendency to set my expectations just out of arms reach, so it felt very pleasant to just relax and let the first draft look like shit so that I could get it down on paper for once.
