Bad human art literally built the internet lore, it deserves more respect then the ai slop which just imitates the infamy of deviantart's contributions

Creating bad drawings or making mistakes is part of the learning process. Everything has to start somewhere. Rough ideas, messy sketches can be preludium to future greatness. For some their art can remain on similar lower technical level, no one has the duty to become a future master.
Even there are skilled artists who do mistakes on purpose to highlight some elements in their works.
I’m observing what’s happening in the matter you mention. I think that bad art has the right to exist.
Personally I notice different problem among people which is copying one to one ai slop. They say it’s a reference, but they copy it like a printer, without any thoughts or decisions behind the process. Some even generate their own “references” for that purpose. They devalue the role of the process, focusing on final effect (which no matter how well copied, should bring dissatisfaction to anyone who cares about human made art). I don’t care if one shared ai slop directly or painted it first on canvas by hand. By its core both are slop.
If someone is working completely on their own, they will pour their experiences, thoughts, themselves into art (no matter how good or bad on primary technical level) because this is what shapes their perception of the world, art. While brainless copying ai slop erases that, it erases whole depth. In both emotional and technical meaning.
Not even mention how much natural resources is wasted on people generating tones of pictures because they want quantity over quality.
Human drawings have the right to look bad, as it’s natural to start somewhere. I say this as perfectionist with too high standards towards myself

•Also Idk I think Bad human art will always be better than bad ai. Maybe cuz the bar is in literal hell but it does make you appreciate human art regardless of its quality more. Something maybe bad or lazy, but at least a human was behind it with the mindset of wanting it to be good I guess

Anytime I think about this I just think back to when people were saying wish or megamind 2 used ai purely because the writing or the song lyrics were. I’m not denying both of them were bad or there’s a chance Ai was actually used in the process, but idk why people during that time were allergic to admitting bad writing done by humans was a thing for some reason
