The day we lost Elvis Presley in his earthly form. I wanted to draw something to commemorate today; I remember being in such a different place this time last year. I was still so new to Elvis’ world and still processing my grief. He lived so much and so little at the same time and was in so much pain at the end of his life it still hurts me to think about…but a lot changes in a year. I’ve changed in a year, largely with his help, guidance and inspiration. I’ve started a new, different kind of healing and in turn have healed a lot of that pain I felt about him too. Not all of it, but I’m only human.

I’ll spare you the details, but long story short, I know now that Elvis never left. His mortal journey has ended, but his presence, love and influence are very much alive and among usbelieve me or don’t, that’s your choice, but for anyone out there looking for comfort today, I hope my words offer a little bit
